Was surprised by how fast the magnet arrived. It made a difference the first time we used it compared to not having it. The drivers here seem to not have respect for other drivers on the road but with the magnet at least they are understanding and give a little more room on the road than they otherwise would.

First the specks: It is very big (long) and readable by other drivers. It does not fit on the back of my car. I have a swing opened back door with the tire mount that is plastic. So, with that, I would like to see one made for smaller spaces.
Second, my son was mortified when he saw the "beginner" part. He would have felt better with "Student Driver" .
As a parent, I felt better having it on the vehicle! The very first day my son began driving, he got a taste of the impatience of our area. People here, believe that stops signs are mere suggestions rather than a rule. My son stopped at a stop sign and encountered a very angry follower in a pickup truck. The man drove on our bumper and blew his horn every time we stopped at the stop signs. This prompted me after about the 3rd sign to get out for a chat with him. When he saw me getting out of the car, he drove up on the median and went around us (running the stop sign). As parents of new drivers we should never have the added worry of road harassment. But, it is a fact that it happens! That day I purchased this magnet! Now, I remind my son, if they can read, then they know you are a new driver. You follow the rules and let them deal with their own driving flaws!

I ordered this sign over some of the other "student driver" signs available because I thought it was polite and courteous, and would hopefully remind other drivers to be polite and courteous also. Many people have commented favorably on this sign and I think it makes a big difference in how other drivers treat my teen on the road. She says it makes her feel less anxious on the road because it lets the other drivers know she isn't a bad driver, just a beginning one.
