This is a cute novelty gift for the chef/musician. Bought two as Xmas stocking stuffers and the recipients loved them.

As wooden cooking spoons, they seemed to be decent quality. Wood is smooth. Not very heavy duty, but the handle could not be too thick since they are drumsticks.

These sticks are very cute - I purchased them locally for a gift in the past and the recipient loved them so when I saw them on Amazon (a dollar more than purchased locally but free shipping and I didn't have to drive 40 minutes roundtrip to get them) I didn't hesitate to order for another gift.

I should have hesitated.

The first time the set was CLEARLY missing one of the two sticks - the loop ties to hold it were in place but no stick. Now... this very easily could have been a manufacturers error but wouldn't the Amazon packager be able to see this obvious error? Unless these are packed by robots then I do not understand how someone could not see this. It is 100% obvious from the packing.

So... I repacked and resent the item (along with a book I ordered with it which was damaged during shipping as the mix sticks packaging wedged into it during shipping) and had them resent...

THIS TIME both sticks were intact HOWEVER either out of ignorance or spitefulness the packer put these in a box that was CLEARLY too small - both sides of the sticks packaging were curled up in the box to fit it in, I had to tug to get it out and it was all mangled up. Horrifying. Again, this is for a gift. As I am out of time for a resend, I have to tuck my tail between my legs and gift the mangled mix sticks package - at least the usable part, the sticks, are intact however it looks like I pulled it out of a dumpster not ordered it brand new on Amazon.

I would recommend purchasing these locally if you can - it is really a cute product - but definately not from Amazon.
