I have had my beertender for two years and it is now dead. Either the fan or computer board is shot and it is out of warrenty. I can ship it to New York to be repaired at my expense for both the repair and the shipping as the warrenty is only for 1 year. The novelty of this device wore off after only a few kegs. There are several drawbacks to the device:

1- It only takes 3 types of beer, Heineken, Heineken Light, and a brown ale
2- The kegs only deliver 14-15 beers at $18-22 per keg plus the cost of the tap ($4)
3- You must refrigerate your spare kegs as it takes 6-8 hours for the beertender to cool a keg
4- The electronic readouts were rarely correct with regards to remaining beer and temperature
5- The first couple of beers were always too foamy which is a lot when you are only getting 14-15 beers from it

You are better off buying a keg refrigerator with a real warranty. 1/2 kegs can be purchased for $80 on sale and they deliver hundreds of beers.

I will never purchase from Krups again.

I just bought this brand new off Ebay for 115 dollars and free shipping(not bad huh). Alot better than the 300 I have seen online. With that said I prechilled my Heineken Keg to 37 degrees in my fridge,installed it,followed the directions and in less than 10 minutes I was up and running. No foaming issues at all except for the initial glass which is normal. It keeps the beer cold. It tells you how many days are left out of 30 and pretty much looks awesome on my bar. I love this little gadget. Like the other guy said...get the lcd read out. Its worth it.

Great concept, terrible execution. I have gone through 6 kegs in mine, and each seems to throw MORE foam! Well over half of each glass is foam. Buy the Coors refrigerator keg (if you can find one, that is) and enjoy better, colder, much less foamy beer.
